Evolving science shifts focus to lutein’s lifelong eye and brain benefits

NutraIngredients USA (Chicago, Nov. 10) – Research on lutein’s important role in child development is heating up, highlighting a growing understanding of the carotenoid’s contribution to improving visual acuity and cognitive health starting as early as in utero. Kemin Industries hosted an education session at the SupplySide West natural ingredients convention to showcase the growing research in lutein life. The session brought together several professors, including U. of I. nutritional sciences professor Naiman Khan.
